Mothers Day

I had the most wonderful mothers day! The kids came bounding in at 7:30am... that was the compromise.... LOL they really wanted to come in at 6:30! They had lots of presents and cards, and of course kisses and cuddles. I got some lovely handmade presents from the kids and a few soaps and candles from the Mothers Day stall at school. Todd, Ben and Emily made me a wonderful potted herb garden, after getting rid of our vegie garden I was really missing my fresh herbs! I also got this really cool weather station. A sensor stays outside and relays to a display unit inside the humidity, barometric pressure and temprature inside and out. I love knowing how hot or cold it is outside, although sometimes its best not to know! LOL Here are some pics of Todd and the kids making the herb garden.... looks fantastic!

So after a nice sleep in (yes I did manage to go back to sleep after all the excitement) I awoke to the aromas of a cooked breakfast. The kids had set the table and picked flowers for the middle. Todd cleaned up the kitchen afterward which was the real treat! We then had a nice quiet day..... no bickering from the kids....that was wonderful! Hope all you mums out there had a great day too!

Did I mention spoiled, or is that truly loved? A herb garden, a weather station, breakfast, handmade gifts, sure you don't want to trade households! Happy Mothers Day Sandy, I know you truly deserve being spoiled!

Wow Sandy your herb garden looks divine. And yes you sure were spoiled... AND allowed back to bed. Oh the life of luxury huh? And I agree... best gift EVER is if there's no fighting. Sounds like you got everything and more. Well done luv.
